Maria in full flow, looks so beautiful, but so scary and deadly. We are again blessed, she is far from us. But she leaves a trail of destruction in the northern Caribbean islands, most of them still reeling from the destruction wrought by Irma only 2 weeks ago. This is one of the worse hurricane season for years…
We will be very sad to leave Grenada and Prickly bay. As per usual, it feels like we have been here only for a few days. We have thoroughly enjoyed it, the people, the facilities, the town. Wish we had more time here! And we are missing the 1,000th Hash!

Another exciting week, hurricanes Irma and Jose have kept us on our toes, it was quite worrying to see how these 2 developed and we were pleased to be over 200 miles away from them. Some were not so lucky…. the devastation will certainly have an impact on our travels next season.
On the bright side, we had an evening on Santa Barbara, we went dancing at the full moon party, river tubing, had our weekly hash and BBQ on the beach, life in Grenada is so sweet.
Yep, driving the most stylish catamaran in the harbour. We had such a beautiful day on the water. The sailing was great (too short!), the company very interesting and as for the food it was excellent!
We had a ball!

But what a hash, Ian rescue a fellow hasher, he went through his usual first aid routine, and assisted when Patrick fell on his back, all that in French. Fortunately, nothing too serious but the bruise blooming was spectacular!

We say good bye in style to Francine & Al (Time after Time) with a BBQ on Calabash beach. So many people turned up it was brilliant. We definitely send them off in style!
Obviously, the main topic of conversation revolved around the unsuccessful thieving incident of the previous night. A bit scary, but no one was hurt, although every one was reminded of how vulnerable we can be on a boat, even in a very crowded bay.

Finally back in Prickly bay after 2 weeks up town in St George. We do need to get back to do some work on Mr X and it is so much more convenient here, nearer to Budget Marine. Also, the community here is far tighter, most of the people we know are anchored there. It is like coming home. And the beach is not so far….
