Back to Carriacou

So we had to go back to Carriacou… we forgot the boat papers in the excitement of checking in, and we did not realise it for weeks. We thought we had a good weather window for a few days…Guess the forecast was wrong. Don, our second named tropical storm paid us a visit in Tyrell Bay!

To recover from all this excitement, we thought a good walk would be beneficial. The top of Chapeau Carre was beckoning, shame we could not find the path to the top, and we were so close!

Bastille Day Hash

The weekly hash is a bit of a main event in our social calendar. We enjoy the drive to wherever we start from, catching up with fellow sailor in the bus, discovering Grenada sceneries and villages. And then there is the hash itself, the social bit before and after the walk, and then there is the walk or rather the mud bath. They have been so far all different, on different terrain and with different walking partners. Today is Bastille Day hash, going to feel right at home.

Hashing, Full Moon Party and more work

Can’t believe how quick the weeks are going. Another Hash day is here already. Plenty muddy yet again but great fun! More fun at the Full Moon party, nice to see local bands playing live. Every one is getting ready for Carnival so Soca and Calypso most of the night. The rest of the week is work, work, work, sanding, varnishing floorboards, galley and outside table!

Party, Hike, BBQ, busy busy in Grenada

Busy week in Grenada, met some new people, got muddy at the Grenada Broadcasting Corporation “King of the Grill” event, got even muddier on another hike, had a few drinks in various establishments, a BBQ on the beach, played bowls, hang out in the hammock… That and few chores and jobs… we just haven’t stopped. And every day we are treated to fabulous Sundowners,  with or without rum…
