It has been a year near enough to the day since we were last here. We can explore Pointe a Pitre a bit more, not the only the tourist’s must see.
And we will probably get to see the first arrival of the Route du Rhum race …

We set off for Guadeloupe, we end up in Martinique, 100 miles short of our destination… the wind predicted did not materialise and we had problem with the exhaust preventing us to use the engine. We make the most of it…
This is Martinique in October.
Feels like coming home.
We need to get to Grenada to get a better angle on the wind for our passage to the ABC Islands. We’ll also get our life raft serviced. Whilst we are there, we renew with old traditions, the hash, the full moon party and catching up with friends.
Has it really been a year since we were here last…
October, still in Trinidad, feels like Christmas… waiting for the last bit of work on the engine to be completed. Finding things to entertained ourselves.
We’ll get moving soon…
The three of us are now reunited,… Still loads of work to be done but making sure that we have some fun too!
This is Trinidad in September 18
Hopefully it wont turn into October…
It took 27 days but we got to Plymouth in the end. It got cold as soon as we left Bermuda on the first week. We saw dolphins and 7 whales on our way across and We all had a wonderful time on Christine, despite the lack of wind for a few days. Read a blow by blow account of our Atlantic crossing – May 18
Crew photo before we leave Bermuda. We’re setting off for Plymouth, 3 to 4 weeks at sea. Another adventure!
After a week at sea, we arrived in Bermuda. A well earned rest and plenty of opportunity to visit the island between jobs.
Love the beaches. I spent a day at The dockyard, enjoyed the beautiful flora and the little towns of St Georges and Hamilton.
And yes there are plenty of Bermuda shorts to be seen!
We need to take Mr X to a safe place, so back to Trinidad. We will be taking Christine back to the UK, so we will have a month or two of shore leave, visiting friends and family in England and France. But before all that fun, there is much work to be done….
We only had a day in San Juan before we set off for Bermuda, but what a day!
