I always want to know what is around the next bend, over the mountain or across the sea. Sailing is a mean of discovery for me, meeting and spending time with interesting people along the way.
I started sailing in the early 90’s, and rapidly developed a taste for racing, especially offshore longer races, both with JOG and RORC, with some success. Having owned my own boat Contessa 32, Moonshadow II, for a number of years, I also discovered an interest and aptitude in training and developing crew. Watching people come together to form a cohesive group with common purpose, producing results whilst still having a good time is rewarding. I have also enjoyed running a racing boat, with all that entails, maintenance, repairs, more maintenance, adding some new toys to go faster…
Although sailing has taken me to all sorts of places, from the Baltic to the Caribbean’s, going further afield is a very tempting proposition. Living on board will be a new adventure.
Cruising with attitude… that’s what we’ll do….the nearest it’s going to be to racing…
