My favourite, the Short Knees, but then again I would like them, mix match clashing costumes with shiny mirrors on them, just what I like! Wonder if I can find some of the fabric and get myself a dress made out of it?!
Interesting story the Short Knees, brought in by the French who loved a masquarade, they were originally the well known Pierrot. By the time the British took over and emancipation came, the white faced Pierrot had acquired some colours thanks to African and Creole influences. And the mirrors offer protection from bad spirits! Need some on that dress!
