Jolly Harbour Marina – waiting for Ian & Sue

Jolly Harbour Marina
Wednesday 29th November
We’ve moved from the anchorage into the marina ready to collect Ian and Sue who are coming to spend 2 weeks with us. Off the plane just in time for sundowners, well timed. Christmas has come early; one of their suitcase is full to bursting with food stuff from home. Ian is extremely excited when 2 Christmas cakes emerged, I, however, am thrilled with the dry porcini mushrooms!
We spend the evening catching up on news and making loose plan for the 2 weeks to come, long into the night.
Thursday 30th November 17
We are all up early as our guests are suffering from jetlag. Best time to take them to the beach, which is deserted and looking stunning. They are keen to get as far as Anguilla, so the plan is to leave Jolly Harbour marina, spend the night in Deep Bay, where they will be able to snorkel on the wreck and to the little walk to the fort.
We set sail for Deep Bay in the afternoon, and it only takes a couple of hours to get to Deep Bay. Beautiful sailing weather, we make the most of it, even poking our nose into St John’s bay to have a look at the cruising ships…
