Hollandes Cays – Caobos

Caobos to Banedup

Did not sleep very well last night, having a rodent on board does not make for restful time. We saw jackster arrive yesterday and we thought that polly may enjoy a bit of a chase on board Mr X… so  we are off in the morning… only takes half an hour and we are alongside them.  But Polly  does not want to play … she is not happy at all when she is taken on board… all she wants to do is go home.

We spend the rest of the afternoon going around every boat in the anchorage to see if anyone has a mouse trap we could have. As can be expected, stories are swapped, but no traps … noon expected to have mice coming on board without being on a pontoon…. Mistake.

What a fabulous place the view is fantastic… so blue… a bit windy mind, but perfect for the wind generator and for doing  the washing.

It all goes well until lunch time when we discovered that we have a mouse on board , most of our food stuff is in plastic boxes but we do  have some part baked bread in the net, for easy access and our fruit and veg is in the back cabin in an open crate… now the bread has been munched on and so have the watermelon… we definitely have a rodent on board.. and I am not happy… off course we do not have any traps or anything to catch it… and we spend the afternoon trying to figure out where the thing is hiding.

Porvenir to caobos

We have a lovely sail down the island, just enough wind. The entrance of the anchorage is quite challenging, the island and the reef are very close at the entrance but it is well worth the effort. Not many people there and the it is just stunning.

Looking forward to a few days here chilling .
