Not going far today, just outside of the bay is the very narrow channel with a very shallow anchorage at the end. this is where you can swim with the rays. Unfortunately, that anchorage looks full and only with catamarans, won't make it. We anchor in front of the village instead which was challenging enough, not much room to swing and the coral reef is a bit close. We'll go and see the rays tomorrow.
It is a long ride in the dinghy but so worth it. We saw the submerged tikkis, quite by accident, we rowed quite a bit, it was very shallow even for the dinghy. We got there early enough to enjoy the rays without too many people around. They are so tame, come so close, gliding in the water, and there are loads of them along with a few black tip sharks. It is just fabulous. By mid morning the place is just heaving with boats full of people. Time to move out.
