We finally reach the end of the lagoon, waves crashing on the reef. The weather has improved and the sea is flat and showing the most amazing colours. We saw a turtle, we have not seen many in the Pacific, small in comparison with the one we saw in the Caribbean. I take the dinghy for a row in the afternoon and see plenty of rays at the bottom. Best one though is patrolling the drop, not far from where we are anchored. A huge manta ray, beautiful creature. We wound our way back up the channel to the main village where we stay two nights, enough time to stock up on food and to have a last steak at the roulottes.
