Bonaire to Curacao

Passage Bonaire to curacao
Wednesday 28th November 18
We found it hard to leave Bonaire, so hard in fact that we kept adding more days. In the end we tore ourselves away and picked the worst day for a passage. Started well enough, with bright sunshine, we had not yet gone around Klein Bonaire, the island in the middle of the bay that dark clouds started gathering and it was not long before we were in the middle of rain clouds after rain clouds, with winds to match. Lasted the whole passage which fortunately was not long. No use trying to catch up with Jackster, they have their wings out and apart from anything else they are ove 50 foot… out of our league. We got to Curacao late afternoon… under the rain, but with a dolphin escort. The entrance to Spanish Water is a bit tight and we proceeded cautiously over the sand bar… too cautiously, apparently… Mermaid the huge tourist boat coming back from Klein Curacao tooted us until we got out of the way, much to the amusement of all onboard. Beautiful harbour with plenty room and little bays.
