Antigua – Long Island

Monday 8th January 18
Jumbly Bay – Long Island
The trip from Dickinson bay to Long Island is up wind but we are sailing. Antigua is much more built up on this side, I guess this will account with St John, the capital being so close. The weather is still unsettled and we get wet. The reef gets closer as we move east and Ian is on tender hooks trying to find the safe way. The sun is out when we get to Jumbly bay on Long Island, one of the most exclusive resort of the Caribbean’s. And it does look it too. Picture perfect fabulous place but deserted. They don’t welcome boaties here so we stay away. Christine is there too, so more socialising to be done on board of Mr X this time!
The internet from the resort is working perfectly and we hear from Sealife, they are anchored in Rabbit Island. We are invited for brunch day after next…Looking forward to this… Caroline is a great cook and I am dying to meet the famous cat and see the inside of Sealife !
