St Barth – Colombier Bay

Sunday 3rd December 17

We are woken up by the bells of the church this morning, we are indeed so close to it taht we are able to watch the congregation file in. I was keen to go but we are moving onto Colombier bay, just around the corner. Apparently the snorkelling on the cliffs is spectacular. Unfortunately,  I wont be able to join the gang, I have a wound on my leg and don’t really want to be in the water for any length of time before it is completely healed.  Never mind, I enjoy the view which is fabulous and marvel at the number of turtles bobbing up and down close to Mr X.

In the afternoon, we go ashore and have a nice walk to the top of the hill and all around the coast. We lost count of the number of turtles we see. Some of them are numbered, apparently saved from the hurricane. The most surprising encounter, we met an Italian lady feeding them broccoli of all things. It turned out that she knew Emiliano and his family in Technomar, the yard who sold us Mr X. Small world.
