Again we are following trucks playing loud music tonight and we are not alone! There are thousands jumping to the beat, waving the most amazing glow sticks. Each truck is sponsored and each person behind the DJ has paid (sometime over $100) for the pack which will include T-shirt, glow stick, hats, skirt… depending on the theme they have chosen. The drinks are also free, all troupes have a special drink truck behind. Some have a huge following like Carib (the local beer), I guess they must have been giving some packs away. They are also in competition, so we place ourselves near the judging station so we get the whole performance with the DJ ordering all these glow sticks around. Again some of the shows were very slick and well thought about. The colours were just brilliant; a real uplifting scene with so many people enjoying themselves. The parade is like a ribbon of lights and you can see it right up to the carenage which is a good mile and a half long. Plenty of dancing late into the night…. we followed the last truck home.
