Tahiti, Moorea, Bora Bora conjure the picture postcard image of pristine white beach, clear turquoise water and lush green mountains in the background. The reality does not disappoint and there are plenty more islands to explore, all with their own distinctive flavour.
Land at last, spectacular scenery in all the islands of the group and people are just beautiful.
The big one 3,900 nautical miles, over 4 weeks at sea with a few dolphins for company. With a steady wind at our back, we made good use of the wings. Glad we did not rely on our fishing for food, we only caught one fish.
Panama, transiting the canal is only one of the highlights. Despite being a large, crowded, polluted, gridlocked town we came to enjoy it. The views of the new city are stunning and the old town and its churches is just charming even if not all restored.
We have finally found our dream islands… every single one of them is just idyllic, well almost, if you discount the crocodiles, the biting beasties, the man of war jellyfish… and despite all this we could have stayed much longer. We spent a lot of time in the water, plenty of fabulous snorkelling in crystal clear water.

We absolutely loved Cartagena, admittedly being Christmas, the place was full of light and music and entertainment.
We spent more of our time on shore exploring and soaking up the atmosphere. As for the New Year celebration, we had a ball literally… we danced in the street all night….
Despite being a cruise ships paradise, i.e not necessarily our cup of tea, Aruba proved to be enjoyable, thanks to the many out of the way street art works scattered around.
We spent 10 days in Bonaire and that was not nearly enough. It is a very special place with so many things to explore. Off course plenty under the sea…
Enough to make me want to learn to dive…
