There is a bit of a food fair/ Christmas market at the boardwalk, so we take the bus as it is just a bit too far to walk. Plenty of food and crafts stalls and live entertainment all afternoon. The locals are out in force, enjoying the sea, despite it being a bit choppy, the life guards are keeping a good watch. It is quite fun to mingle in the crowd, everyone is having fun, especially when Ian is dragged to dance with Ronda, a famous calypsonian of 79 years of age who still has the stamina of a twenty years old! Some of the calypso songs are downright rude… loved the one about cassava and garlic sauce! As for the Pareng band they were just brilliant, the maracas player was outstanding, so much gusto in shaking his 4 maracas! We meet with Suzy who very kindly take us to see a band in movie town, nearly as good as the jams!
